Hi, I’m Becca.

I’m grateful you’re here.

Co-founder & CEO

I've lived more than half my life in advertising. At just 17 years old, I joined an agency and fell in love with the creative energy. That internship led me to a 10-year leg in my career in which I rose to vice president and started that agency's brand strategy group. Then, at the height of the recession, I left there and co-founded treetree along with a brave and bright creative leader.

Whether it’s a book you need to read, a recipe you need to try or a coach you need to see, if it’ll help you shine brighter, I can’t keep it to myself. That’s why I send a biweekly newsletter with my latest learnings, discoveries and leadership advice (and because, selfishly, I really like writing).

Wife & momma

My favorite title by far is member of Team Apfelstadt. When my business was in its infancy, so were my babies. You could kinda say I had three kids in diapers. My husband is an entrepreneur too, which makes for interesting dinner conversation. Read why we run (parts of) our marriage like a successful business.

"But it felt almost less risky to go out on our own. Somehow we landed, even though it was really hard. Starting a business in the recession is no joke."

Listen to my interview on the Women of Influence podcast

“I hope that part of my story can inspire other women to not let the fear of managing it all get in the way of what’s right for her family. There’s more to life than what happens in the four walls of your company and it’s so easy to get sucked into all of the happenings there. Don’t forget to get out and build a life, too.”
